Trauma-informed coaching is a practice that recognizes the impact of trauma on individuals and creates a safe, supportive environment for clients to grow and heal.
Trauma informed coaching focuses on understanding how past traumas affect a person's current experiences and aims to empower clients through resilience-building strategies without treating or diagnosing trauma.
Marna has studied trauma as an MSW, medical social worker and a former as a LCSW for over 20 years. In a decision to more aligned with my self healing beliefs I now practices alternatively as a coach and will no longer be diagnosing, or treating trauma through a mental health model.
How my work is different than psychotherapy:
As a trauma informed coaching practitioner I support you in a empathetically, and engage in creating a safe, trusting relationship to help you become more of the person you want to be.
The work I do now is based on examining limiting beliefs, feelings and actions in order to create goals to believe, behave and act in new ways.
